You are required to carry out an analysis of a fictional workplace. This will consolidate the material we have covered up to and including timetable week 11. To prepare do the following:
a) Choose a fictional organisation to carry out your analysis. Some ideas are on this BOB playlist. You can choose any fictional organisation, but you MUST get your tutorâs approval BEFORE starting work.
b) Watch the film/TV series, making notes on your observations about the organisation, the people, the interactions, etc. Note that if you choose a TV series, you will be expected to have watched at least 4 episodes.
c) Apply the theories we have looked at in class to your observations to explain/make sense of your findings.
The Learning Outcomes being assessed in this coursework are:
1. Discuss the objectives of businesses and the use of information technology to support organisational decision-making and problem solving.

3. Analyse the cultures within organisations, and discuss the relationship between structure and culture. Submit a 2,000-word REPORT with the following sections â applying the theories we have discussed in class.
1) In the introduction you should explain a bit of background about the film/tv series you have chosen and why you have chosen it. You should discuss the purpose and objectives of the organisation depicted in your chosen media in this section too.
2) Organisational factors

About 200 words each. Choose three characters from the employees of the organisation. Give an analysis of each employee covering:
a) Background information
A brief synopsis of the character â age, gender, job role, etc.
b) Motivational Analysis
What is the main driving influence for the character, relationship with their managers and /or employees. If you were their manager, outline how you would influence their behaviour.
