LDT3103 Management Putting Theory into Practice
Task
You work as a "Trainee Consultant" with Stuart and Allen Associates, a major leadership and management consulting firm. They are approached by a client who is a 'big name' in the fast-food sector. The firm is currently undergoing a merger with another firm, resulting in some challenges and problems related to leadership and management of the merged entity. Some of the problems they face include lack of staff motivation, lower job retention rates, a conflict between teams, cultural issues between the two firms, managing resources, lack of communication, and poor teamwork. Your line manager has asked you to create a poster which will help you to demonstrate:
1. Three leadership and management theories which the client organisation can use to help resolve the various leadership and management issues?
2. Propose a suitable organisational structure for the new company (after the merger) that can interact well with the agreed management roles?
3. You must add notes to the poster (There is no need to make or deliver a presentation).
