You have been working as a Strategic Manager in the retail sector (UK) and you are tasked to give a group presentation of 4 to 5 members of strategic department to your board of directors. You are expected to bring contemporary approaches of organisational behaviour and scope of their application in your organisation. Your presentation should be delivered by all the members on the following topics:

  • A profile of chosen organisation from retail sector in the UK
  • Analyse the relationship between organisational structure and organisational performance
  • Analyse the different tasks and Skills, a manager can apply to ensure operational effectiveness in the chosen organisation
  • How Leadership can inspire and motivate staff members to improve performances
  • An analysis of factors influencing Group and team behaviours Each team member is also required to submit an individual reflective report of which will be compiled by the group leader for uploading on Moodle.
  1. Each member will select a topic from above said for individual reflective report with mutual consent among the team members
  2. Each team member will work effectively to determine the content and layout of the report and appended slide presentation.
  3. Your report and appended slide presentation should make reference to relevant theories, models and principles from the course and textbook(s) illustrated by practical examples from the case study organisation.
  4. Your report and appended slide presentation should be clear, professional, informative and appropriately referenced.
  5. The team will be allowed a time slot of 20 minutes for this presentation and all the members should participate equally therein.
  6. You will be assessed individually on your contribution to the report and appended slide presentation.

Your work must provide evidence of the qualities and transferable skills necessary for employment requiring the exercise of some personal responsibility. This includes demonstrating: that you can communicate the results of your study/work accurately and reliably, and with structured and coherent arguments; that you can initiate and complete tasks and procedures, whether individually and/or collaboratively; fluency of expression; clarity and effectiveness in presentation and organisation. Work should be coherent and well-structured in presentation and organisation.
