Working Title for Dissertation, Research Aim and Research Questions

Context based on the Key Literature for the Topic

The working title, research aim and research questions are sensible, but they should have been stated explicitly at the beginning of your proposal. The research scope is fairly clear.

 A number of important issues are presented here but the content is not always clear or logically organised. The Background and Rationale section is quite lengthy, while the actual literature review is rather limited. Some additional content can be found in the Research Questions section.

Research methods

This section is lengthy and mostly theoretical. Although you indicate that you will collect both, secondary and primary data and information, more detail is needed on practical aspect of this process, e.g. how will you search for secondary data sources? Will you use the same questionnaire for different groups of respondents? It would be also useful to explain why Bam Construction Company has been chosen for your research and how different groups of respondents you are planning to involve will help you achieve your research aim. It is also not clear whether the company has already agreed to help you. You should think how you can present the content in a more focused and concise way.

Research outcomes and likely limitations or potential problems

These are missing in your proposal but are important to consider, as well as any suggestions on how potential problems, that you may face during your research, can be addressed.

It is not clear why the time schedule is shown only as an appendix – the time allocation to individual tasks is not very clear and no tasks seem to be planned beyond March.

The document structure and text formatting need improvement. The sequence of sections and their numbering is odd and affects the presentation and clarity of the proposal.
