Presenting Your Project Idea: Assessment Brief

Assessment brief (if appropriate, please refer to module assessment briefing document)

In this assessment task, you will present your project idea at our end of module ‘conference’ (week 12). There are two parts to this task:

• A poster (max 500 words)
• An oral presentation (5 minutes per person)

You will receive one grade that encompasses both the poster and presentation, so both the poster and the presentation need to be completed in order to pass this assessment task.

The poster

You will design a poster that gives key information about your project idea and will be used as visual aid in your presentation. Posters are used a lot in the academic world to quickly and easily share the results of research, in an audience-friendly way.

The poster should be submitted to Canvas at least one day before you give your presentation. This assessment is testing Module Learning outcomes

1. Be able to demonstrate personal initiative and ability to adapt own behaviour to meet teamwork objectives.

2. Conduct a defined investigation by selecting, organising and presenting information from a range of resources.

3. Demonstrate good communication skills in written and oral
