This project will be focused on the content in Chapters 7 and 8, evaluating jobs and the job evaluation process. Please read the Eastern Provincial University case in the appendix of your textbook.
Using the point method and the four basic factor categories, develop a job evaluation system for the Eastern Provincial University case.   The job evaluation system should include the following:  factors that represent the 4 main categories, short definitions of the factors, determine the number of degrees or levels for each factor, include short definitions for each degree or level.  Weight your job evaluation plan and determine the points for each factor and then each degree or level so that you can evaluate the jobs from the EAstern Provincial University case.   
Then apply your system to the different jobs to derive a single hierarchy of jobs. Summarize this information in a table similar to Table 8.2

1.  Introduction of the job evaluation plan
Introduction or Overview : The intro overview is a brief summary which tells the reader quickly what the report is all about. It identifies the purpose and the most important features of the report, states the main conclusion, and sometimes makes recommendations. It does this in as few words as possible, condensing the report to several key sentences. It is usually best to write the overview last after you have written the whole report because only then will you have an overview yourself. Remember: The overview may be written last, but it is always placed first in the final report.
2.  Details of job evaluation plan, such as the factors, definition of the factors and degrees within each factor, weighting and points for each factor and degrees within each factor
3.  Job evaluation results - hierarchy of the jobs in descending order
4.  Conclusion
Conclusions briefly state the major points that can be drawn from the report. If there is more than one conclusion, state the main conclusion first, and the remaining conclusions in decreasing order of importance.

Eastern Provincial University is a public university of Srilanka which has been established on 1981. It offers a wide range of courses to its students. It preserves experienced and skilled faculties for each of their course. It has science faculty, agriculture faculty, management faculty, arts faculty and so on. It also receives funding from University Grants Commission for operating its activities. As per the reports, it has 900 academic and 1500 non academic staffs. On the other hand, it possesses 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students from various corners of the world. 

The following article has discussed about the job evaluation of the university. Point method has been used to evaluate the job role and responsibility of different section. 

There are four factors that play crucial role in pursuing the objective of any organization, such as- skill, effort, responsibility and working condition. 

Skills are the key element that every organization looks for among their staff members. It helps employees to perform their responsibility in an appropriate manner. To participate in the university function, the employees of the organization need to be aware of the organizational function and their role and responsibility. The non academic staff members of the Eastern Provincial University needs to be hard working and they must be aware of their organizational function, so they can contribute for the betterment of the organization. They need to help the students from the various parts of the world, so they can actively participate in the study program
