Assessment criteria

1.Introduction

Each student is to prepare a report on Opportunities and Challenges in Construction Industry in Canada and Ontario.

The report should be based on the collective information, gathered based on online research and/or interview with professionals involved in Industry. i.e. Construction Managers, Project Managers, Designers, Property Managers, Builders, Developers, Building Examiners and Inspectors, Mortgage Brokers, Real-Estate Agents and Manufacturers. The list is not rigid, and may be adapted as appropriate to each issue, but student should use the headings as a guide. Student has to provide report. The report should use the following format as a guide to font & text size, headings (bold and numbered), etc. The report should be no more than 15 pages long. Each student should submit a printed and electronic copy (word format) of their report. The reports will form a class resource and will be shared with the class.

2.Assessment criteria

Clearness and effectiveness of the report- Use of appropriate language, clarity, conciseness, appropriateness of terminology, use of tables, diagrams, images, proper referencing, etc.
