Choosing a Job Analysis Method

Using Chapter Four of your text as a reference:

1.Choose ONE job analysis method (i.e. Work-oriented, Worker-oriented, or Competency based analysis). Clearly identify and describe the job analysis method you are using.                     

2.Develop an itemized plan as to how you would proceed with the Job Analysis for this position:

For Example:

?Will you be using the Direct Observation method to achieve your job analysis?  If so, describe your process for this method, who will you observe?  Why?  How long and when will you observe them?  What information will you collect?  How will you collect and record it?

3.Describe your rationale for choosing the particular job analysis method i.e. Work-oriented, Worker-oriented, or Competency based analysis.  Why did you choose the method and how does it support what you hope to achieve?

4.Depending on the Job Analysis method you have chosen, develop a 1) Job Specification or 2) Competency profile that can be used for the purpose of selection for this job/role:

OR
