Determining Industry Nature and Labor Market for Organizational Analysis

For example, if your client is Michelle’s Flower Shop, you want to research the overall floral industry; you need an understanding of what this industry is about and how it works. Lily of the Valley Arts Council (LOTV) is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver Island in British Columbia, promoting art ventures, and supporting the local artists' community. Lily Anderson is an Executive Director who founded LOTV and encourages many talented artists to show their calibre or develop talent by helping them effectively. She worked hard to establish a place where an artist can develop their talent and promote their skills. LOTV has small and dedicated staff working towards the common purpose of LOTV to support the local artist community.

LOTV is facing many issues and challenges, which are described as follow:

Rose's unprofessional behaviour by clicking selfie pictures at the sales trip and wild party that LOTV pays has got the eye of significant donor Marigold of the council. She also posted inappropriate and discourteous posts regarding the organization and artist hired for promotion by herself on her social media application. That kind of inappropriate behaviour of Rose is not in harmony with the reputation of the council. Moreover, it seems like a misuse of the company's resources.

Rose is an effective marketing director and proved her worth in a short period. Rose is an asset for the council in these challenging times. Apart from that, the council must look for the legal side of the case, as Rose hinted about that. Hiring a legal professional with financial restraints makes the situation more troublesome for Lily.

In this specific situation, Marigold seems to be the most critical client for the survival of the council, and she is unhappy. Council cannot afford to lose Marigold at this time as her influence over society might result in organizational loss.
