There is A to E part in midpoint portfolio: 1. In part A i have uploaded rough draft of where im from you have to write a final draft by improving it with proper image, simile and metaphor. 2.In part B you have to write a poem on dreams and have to create a rough draft and final draft of it with proper image, simile and metaphor and make sure there must be some difference between rough and final draft. 3. In part c you have to find a poem and all instructions are in midpoint portfolio for this and dont forget citations and reference for this. 4. In part D you have to write a one verse lyric and instructions are in midpoint portfolio for this and you have to write it from week 2 document dont forget to put source of this. 5. In order to demonstrate a development (or progression) of skills and to show the work you’ve done, the half point course closes with a culmina/ng Por_olio assignment which should showcase your skills using your Prac/ce Pieces and Samples of Weekly Assignments (through mul/ple draFs and self-analysis).
NOTE: The poetry selec/ons for sec/ons a)b)c)d) as well as a sample from your pre-wri/ng process e) should ALL be included and properly labeled for full marks. Please review the Marking Guide to ensure
all sec/ons have been included in the uploaded documents via Blackboard. Sec/ons are marked also for Clarity and Grammar/Mechanics. This is part of the edi/ng/revision process. The DUE DATE for your Portfolio is THURSDAY JUNE 18TH. All assignments will be scanned using SafeAssign. Secondary sources ARE NOT a requirement for the original pieces. Assignment Requirements:
A. Rough DraF and Final DraF (aFer revision and edi/ng) for “Where I’m From” (Week1).
B. Rough DraF and Final DraF (aFer revision and edi/ng) for Poem on Dreams (original work) Week 3.
C. Found Poem (online source cita/on mandatory) with 6-8 sentence paragraph explana/on:
 Who wrote/created the Found Poem?
 When was it published?
 Where did you get the poem? (online source/URL cita/on)
 What does the poem mean to you?
 How does the form affect the func/on for the overall affect?
 Why did you choose this piece?
D. One (1) verse lyric (Week 2) that demonstrates 1 figura/ve language conven/on discussed in our Course Content (eg. Rhyme, Imagery, Symbolism, Theme, Metaphor, Simile, etc…) Please make specific reference to the language used in the lyric and what the conven/on is as well as what it means to you.
E. Provide One (1) sample from your pre-wri/ng process that demonstrates how your pre/post wri/ng has evolved over the past 5 weeks. This should be no more than 1 page double spaced and may be just anexploratory journal entry that refers to a story/poem starter, idea, conven/on you were thinking about, etc. You may alternately choose a Quote or Inspira/on that you have used to free write. I want to see how your ideas manifest into actual words on paper.
