That  is,  we  will treatthe  text  as  a “whole  book”rather than as a “collection.”Students will focus on one story (chosen from among three options) as the “passage”on which their passageanalysis essay will be based.Remember that a passage analysis essay must abide by all of the principles for writing a literary analysis essay set out in MWEL, except as modified in the section of MWELthat relatesspecifically  to  passage  analysis essays  (59-62).Please  pay  close  attention  to  the  section  of MWELentitled “The  Structure  of  Passage  Analysis  Essays”(60).In  particular,  make  sure  that your thesis articulates a themethat isexpressed by the whole book, even though most of your evidence will be drawn from one particular story. In addition, you should not, in the final claim statement, attempt to identify a “resolution of the conflict”of the book as a whole; rather, your final analytical paragraph should begin with a claim about “crucial evidence that establishes the attitude of the text to the issues it represents”(60).The wording of this final claim statement should be close to the wording of the thesis, and the final analytical paragraph  should utilize  the same keywords,  drawn from  the thesis,  that appear in  the  previous analytical paragraphs. However, the  evidence presented inthe  final analytical paragraph should be drawn mainly fromthe rest of the book, not just from the story on which you are focusing.Taking into account theseinstructions, please write a passage analysis essay based on o
