A company is adopting Revit to model its building design. Previously they used imperial units however, their clients want the design in Metric units. The attached pdf views show the building design elevation and sections in the imperial unit previously used by the company. The building is a light-frame wood residential home with a gable roof (slope 8/12). The building has two storeys and a basement. The basement walls construction is a concrete raft foundation. Fig 1 to 4 shows the floor plans generated in the Metric unit. Fig 5 shows the level information for the building (Follow the formula to find out actual elevation).
1. Develop a complete BIM model using Revit. Follow the notes given in the proceeding section to develop the model. Submit Revit model in *.rvt format and follow naming convention StudentID_Building.rvt (30 Marks)
2. Create Layouts from the BIM model for basement, ground/Level 1 and second-floor plans with proper scale and page setup and print pdf in Tabloid paper size. You can create multiple layouts or a single layout with proper scale but make one pdf file to upload. Submit pdf file StudentID_PlanLayouts.pdf (20 Marks)
3. Create a Layout from the BIM model showing all Elevations, Sections (A-A) and Section B-B following the annotations practice as shown in the attached pdfs. You can create multiple layouts or a single layout with proper scale but make one pdf file to upload. Submit pdf file StudentID_ElevationSection.pdf (20 Marks)
4. Create the Callout Section details as shown in âCallout_Section_Details.pdfâ. Submit pdf file StudentID_CalloutSection.pdf. (20 Marks)
5. Place some rendering objects such as RPC element, plantation, car etc. around the BIM model and render at least two views to create a professional presentation to impress the client submit JPEG file of rendering. (15 Marks+ 15 Marks for creative design and professional production).Follow the naming convention as StudentID_RenderView_1.JPEG.
6. Create a room schedule. Take a snapshot and generate a pdf file to upload. (10 Marks)
7. Assume the cost of concrete is $ 0.2/ mm3 and $ 0.3/ mm2 of the Exterior wall and 0.25/mm21 for the interior wall. Generate a Material take-off schedule for walls. Take a snapshot and generate a pdf file to upload
