Childcare needs are met in a variety of ways in different parts of Canada. The purpose of this assignment is to explore childcare around the country and to share your learning. This experience will allow students the opportunity to gain insight into a variety of unique and diverse supports for children and their families in other parts of Canada. This will allow students to identify beliefs, values and behaviours that form individual and community identities and the basis for respectful relationships. This assignment is divided into two main segments; one task involves gathering information individually, while the other will require students to present the information to the class using strategies from the Keys to Success course.
Child Care Across Canada Presentation Students, in their small groups, will select one province in Canada and research that province’s childcare system and compare it to the ontario system in which you have been learning about. Information gathered on your chosen province will include: • inclusion of children with special needs - Saskatchewan how does that compare to Ontario. (250 words)
