Purpose of the Assessment

The purpose of this assessment is to:

Develop a project proposal by determining the scope of the challenge or an opportunity in an organization and propose the management concepts, theories and data collection methods that will be applied during the organizational performance investigation in the project report in Assessment 3.

TASK/ASSIGNMENT

You are required to write an individual Project Proposal to investigate and solve a managerial issue of suitable complexity using business research methods and managerial tools. Your lecturer must approve both the organization and the selected issue before you can proceed. The lecturer will need to ensure that the issue is sufficiently ‘complex’, in that it does not have an obvious solution and that it lends itself to deeper research and analysis. For the purposes of this assessment, the term ‘issue’ also includes an opportunity, problem, challenge, etc. that the organization is currently facing.
