Each entry is weighted equally. All entries should be submitted at once by the due date. Action: 1. Create a critically reflective journal based on content from THREE COURSE TOPICyou and relate that content to you and your own experiences and interactions. 2. Examine how the theory on the topic explains and/or contradicts your own organizational experiences (you can use any organizational contexts e.g. University, sports organizations, church, work, school… etc.). 3. For each entry you should be showcasing your understanding of the topic content as well as reflexive thinking and learning skills. Guidelines: • The reflexive journal is based on assumption that learning is meaningful when embodied- i.e. learning interweaves experiences with theory (Cunliffe 2016) • I’m asking you to think about your own learning in relation to the topics and theory covered in the course. • I’m also looking to see your academic writing skills as well as your learning from the course through your insights and theoretical application. • You must use course theories and other academic research to support, challenge or extend your own reflections. • Your journal should help you to identify and question your own assumptions and behaviour in workplace situations • Become critically self-reflexive and examine your interactions, reflexes and understandings. • It may help to identify silent voices in a conversation or scenario (what is not said). • Analyse whether there might be multiple interpretations- it’s a theme in this course. • As you relate theories to yourself think about your own learning; consider possibilities for self-development, new abilities, stretching yourself, try to develop more complex and integrative thinking IMPORTANT: Requires APA reference list and in text citations where appropriate.
