OPIM 314 Logistics and Transportation Management

As the COVID-19 becomes endemic in Singapore, we are entering the “new normal” as described by the Task-Force Ministers (https://www.straitstimes.com/opinion/living-normally-with-covid-19). With these “new normal”, a lot of changes are happening compared to before. Based on what you have learnt from this module, research and describe changes Amazon’s can implement in terms of transportation management and operations for the “new normal”. For each change, explain how it will impact your Amazon’s operations. You may look into (but not limited to) the following topics:

- Transportation Modes and Costings
- Distribution Network Systems
- Vehicle Routing and Scheduling
- Transportation Management and Technology
- Export Packaging and Handling Marks
- Last Mile Delivery

You may include the following as a guide:

Explain the business of your Amazon’s, describe the existing delivery operations

Identify and explain THREE changes Amazon’s can implement in terms of delivery operations for the “new normal” with reference to Part I.
