shall not look into the technical aspects of the products. You may consider

process group like product market survey, customer requirements, design,
prototype, testing, redesign and modification, mass production etc…
2. Plan a month long promotional event at Changi Airport Terminal 3 to promote the
retail business at the departure hall and create a unique shopping experience for
the passengers while waiting for departure (given budget: $100,000 for the event
and $1 million for the grand price, plan all activities till the eve of the
commencement of the promotion period). You may consider activities and tasks
undertaken in the initiating and planning process group till the eve of the lucky
draw like market survey, tenants’ feedback, sponsorship, promotional marketing,
awareness events, stage set up etc….
3. Renovate an office space of 500m2 (given budget: $500,000 and plan activities
from initiation to closing of the project, i.e. completion of the renovation work). You
may consider activities and tasks to be undertaken in the initiating, planning and
execution process groups, e.g. appointment of consultants, collect users’
requirements, design, approval, procurement, construction and move in etc….
4. Planning for a MNC company dinner and dance (given budget: $100,000 and plan
activities from initiation to closing of the project, i.e. running of actual event). You
may consider activities and tasks to be undertaken in the initiating, planning and
execution process groups, e.g. appointment of event planner, collect
stakeholders’ requirements, design, approval, procurement, and etc….
5. Retrofitting an Old Colonial 2 Storey Shophouse into a boutique hotel (given
budget: $1,000,000 and plan activities from initiation to closing of the project, i.e.
completion of the retrofitting work). You may consider activities and tasks to be
undertaken in the initiating, planning and execution process groups, e.g.
appointment of consultants, collect users’ requirements, design, approval,
procurement, construction and move in etc….
With the above information, manually-draw an AON Network Diagram using PowerPoint or
Google Doc with more than 1 path specifying the EST, LST, EFT, LFT, TF and FF of each activity.
Input all the data into the Microsoft Project software to create Project Gantt Chart, Schedule,
Resource Sheet and Cost Views. Finally, conclude the project duration, critical path, total project
cost and project learning in your project report.
Deliverables using PowerPoint or Google Presentation:
Assume the project has been completed. Include a project closure phase presentation to highlight
the potential challenges that may occur. You may also discuss factors that may potentially hinder
the success of the project. You are required to propose major steps taken to reduce these risk
factors.
1. Include all the project management concepts and theories applied in your project
assignment. Describe the project scenario, project charter, and objectives.
2. Identify and list the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

6. Identify and explain the critical path for this project.
7. Provide project closure for your project. You must describe your project closure recap,
identified risk factors, steps taken to minimize project risk, and actions taken to ensure
the success of the project.
