Drawing on the literature and relevant professional standards, the discussion should address the following issues: - The increased use of social media by nurses from both a professional and personal perspective and its role in professional practice - The importance of maintaining confidentiality and privacy to minimize the risks to both patients and nurses - The potential for professional boundary violation and how this can be avoided when using social media - The relationship between the ethical and professional use of social media and relevant principles set out in the SNB Code for Nurses and Midwives and Use of Social Media guidelines - The potential outcomes of a breech in professional conduct by nurses when using social media and the role of the Singapore Nursing Board in this. Structure The essay should be logically structured in accordance with this following: 1.
