What am I required to do in this assignment?

You will present a clear business focus report of 2,500 words which resolves an HR issue or challenge from within an organisation, identify the role of the HRM matrix (key areas of HRM) in resolving the issue/challenge, conduct small scale research, analysis findings, apply knowledge of HRM theory and practice to draw conclusions and provide recommendations for change.  

What do I need to do to pass? (Threshold Expectations from UIF)

In order to pass this unit you will need to structure your assignment in the style of a business report, in 2 parts.

Part A:

  • Identify an organsation with a contemporary HR issue or challenge and demonstrate that you understand it by presenting the key aspects of the issue or challenge.  
  • Explain the responsibility of the relevant HRM function(s) in resolving the issue or challenge.

PART B:

  • Benchmark this organization to another organsation by undertaking research which links both HR theory and/or models, using credible academic sources, to identify the possible solutions to the HR issue or challenge.
  • Summarizing your research and findings; making relevant recommendations for change.
