Part 1: Description of Windows 10 Scheduling Algorithms and Improvements

For this exercise you will be searching on Windows scheduler and present an analysis on how to implement this. This work will have two parts:

Part 1:

Description of scheduling algorithm(s) used in Windows 10, comparing this with the older versions of Windows and highlighting the made improvements, a critical analysis of Windows 10 scheduler comparing to Mac (or Linux).

Part 2:

Analysis of implementation of the scheduler described in part 1 using C/C++ language. This includes the overall design of the scheduler, different units in it, communications between them, and annotated code.

You are not required to deliver a runnable program but annotated code.

Deliverable for this part will be a (less than) 10 pages repot (pdf/word).

Your report (excluding references) has to be less than 13 pages. Submit your report via Moodle by 16th July 2020, 5:00 PM.

This exercise is worth 50% of the total marks for the module.

Part1:
