Critical Analysis of an Organization: Relevant Data, Evidence and Recommendations
Publicly Available Information
- Evaluate the company’s formal structure and recommend changes that will address any structural deficiencies
- Assess organisational culture and recommend changes
- Develop a business case for introducing, maintaining or enhancing flexible forms of work that suit the company’s current needs and strategic plans
You need to provide relevant data for your chosen organisation - include in appendices The data should enable you to perform critical analysis and offer recommendations. Your arguments must be supported with the following evidence:
- Organisational data that is ‘publicly available information’ (company background, facts, figures, statistics and other).
- Autoethnographic data: self-reflection and personal experiences of company related matters.
- Scientific evidence (academic journal papers, books; coursework of this type/length normally contains 12-15 references and it is expected that your literature will go beyond the readings covered in the module)
The content within the main body of text comprises the overall word count, including in-text citations, references, quotes, heading and sub-headings.
- You may use less than but in so doing you may be penalising yourself as it is likely to be challenging to respond to the coursework brief.
- You MUST state an accurate (excluding the list of references) at the end of your work. If you do not state an accurate word count your mark will be reduced.
- The content within the main body of text comprises the overall word count, including in-text citations, references, quotes, heading and sub-headings. The cover page, reference list and any appendices do not count towards the overall word count.
- For coursework and project items, students should not exceed the maximum word limits by more than 10%.
