Feedback on your assignment

Aims:

To build on the self-reflection from the formative to fully understand individual Learning Proficiency. Develop ability to evaluate and appraise practises in problem solving and globalisation of the food industry.

Tasks:

Task 1)

Create a webpage in Pebblepad to include the following areas.

Task 1.1) Self Identity A summary of your self-identity (drawing on: psychometric methodologies, LWL, values, etc).

Task 1.2) Radar Chart A2B Radar chart with your assessed competencies.

Task 1.3) Assessment and explanation of competencies – Reflection of these competencies, identifying your strengths and weaknesses.

Task 1.4) Personal development planning – Identify any weaker competencies and outline potential opportunities for development.

Task 1.5) Pipeline - Apply a reflective methodology (Rolfe, CARR, Kolb, Gibbs) to consider your personal development planning in the broader context of your career. Outline how this links with your motivations and aspirations and bring reference to the A2B framework, A2B radar chart competencies and KSB’s as appropriate.

Task 2)  

Appraise the suitability of the following problem-solving techniques to situations in the food industry.

·RCA - Root cause analysis

·PDCA - Plan Do Check Act

Give examples of when they would be best applied to back up your discussion.

Task 3)

The value of the global food industry (including agricultural production) has been estimated as $8.7 trillion. Select and evaluate a range of both negative and positive consequences of this globalisation.

·Demonstrate a range of skills and competencies required for a career in food industry management.

·Collect, analyse and evaluate appropriate qualitative and quantitative information and use it creatively and imaginatively to solve problems.

Extenuating Circumstances

• If you believe that you are not going to meet a deadline due to exceptional circumstances beyond your control, then you may apply for an extension through the Notification of Extenuating Circumstances (NEC) procedures (link below). Specific Penalties

• Assessments that are submitted up to five working days after the submission deadline will be entitled to a maximum grade of a low third.

• Assessments that are submitted more than five working days after the submission deadline will be awarded a grade of zero.

• The submission deadline relates the submission of an electronic copy of the assessment.
