1. AIM OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The aim of this assignment is:
to ensure that you understand the concepts of Building Information Modelling and can create a 3D model of a building by Autodesk Revit.
2. THE ASSIGNMENT BRIEF
You are required to produce 3D drawings for a house of approximate ground floor area between 80 and 100 square metres (2 story house):
i. Your home/current dwelling O
ii. A UK detached house
3. UNDERTAKING THE ASSIGNMENT
This assignment will be undertaken individually. Having selected the property to investigate and create your drawings.
Your design should be original and you need to demonstrate your capability in:-
Ø Constructing grids and levels
Ø Land/ground (landscape)
Ø Wall foundation
Ø Producing external/internal or curtain walls,
Ø Inserting doors and windows
Ø Space planning including furniture layouts for Kitchen, bath room, and toilet
Ø Inserting stairs, railings and slabs
Ø Adding roof(s)
Ø Adding dimensions
Ø Providing basic schedules and room data
Ø Adding annotation
Ø Producing two sections, four elevations and two 3D views.
4. THE REPORT
Your assignment should be submitted in the form of:-
1. PDF report (Moodle_Turnitin) showing:-
a. All floor plan view
b. 2 Section and 4 elevation views
c. 2 3D views:
- bird’s eye view
- isometric view (with the roof layer frozen) to show the interior
d. All views should be labelled, drawing should be annotated, and have title block
2. Revit file submission (Email)
