Admin Roles and Privileges

Task Description This project entails the design and development of a design studio management system. From the system requirements provided, this web application should enable us to be able to configure two types of users: Admin and user whose privileges are stipulated as below:

Admin: The system should grant the admin the following roles are privileges:

i. Creation of Sections- The system should allow the admin to crate different Sections from the same web page.

ii. Approval of user’s appointment- If an user is interested in applying for an appointment to meet the designer, it the role of the admin to approve or decline the appointment.

iii. Approval of user’s files – If an user uploaded files , the admin should approve or decline the files and change the status of the order

iv. Feeding the price in the system – Upon successful uploaded the draws, plans, pictures into a client folder, the system should grant the admin the privilege of keying in the system the appropriate price.

v. Change the status of the orders

User: The system should allow the user to carry out the following roles and functions:

i. Signing up – All the users are supposed to sign up or register in order to access the system functions.

ii. Profile update – Upon registration, all the users are supposed to update their profile. This includes their personal details such as name, address, contacts etc.

iii. Uploading draws, pictures, plans – after a application has been verified by the admin the user should have a folder that will contain the draws, pictures, plans. He can see the history of the orders.

iv. Booking an appoitment – after a application has been verified by the admin, the user is allowed to book an appointment whit the designer. Develop a basic Design studio management system website which supports dynamic content using server-side programming language.

Business rules: After registration, the system is divided into two streams - admin and user. After the user registration, the admin confirms the registration.

1. The data must be stored in an appropriate normalized database.

2. The website must connect to the database to retrieve content and display it on web pages.

3. The details of each section must be displayed on the relevant page. A section search bar can be placed to find section details without logging in.

4. The site must have a common login page for users and admin and this can be done by adjusting user levels and login data must be validated and allow the user to move the relevant pages (admin page and user page)

5. Admin page -The admin can add, edit and delete section details and validate user requests

6. The user can change his personal data, can send an order, can book appointment with the profesional, can upload files The message and file uplouding system should be contained section messag/order Once the user has placed an order through the message system, he can upload his files. After confirmation of the order by the admin, the admin changes the status of the order to executable, and after sending the order changes the status of sent.
