Understanding the Seven Major Categories of Marketing Occupations

Read Appendix B at the end of the textbook (pg. 522-527) titled “Planning a Career in Marketing”. Do an internet search using websites such as: org, monster.com, careerbuilder.com, ziprecruiter.com, glassdoor.com, indeed.com, etc. to identify a job posting in each of the seven major categories of marketing occupations (Product Management and Physical Distribution, Sales, Nonprofit Marketing, Global Marketing, Advertising and Promotion, Retailing, Marketing Research).  You can find the seven major categories of marketing occupations in Figure B-1 on page 524.  You should have one job posting per category. For each job posting identify: Job Title and Company (actual company that will be the employer) Major responsibilities/duties of the job (you do not need to include all of the duties of the job just a few) Educational and Occupational requirements for the job Salary associated with the job* URL for the job posting *If you cannot find a salary associated with the job posting, use a second website source to research salaries for this type of job and list the salary range you found.  Also, include the second URL. Go to Peoplemapsystems.com and click on the buttons to read the descriptions of the four main personality types identified through the peoplemap personality assessment. You do not have to take the personality assessment. Identify the four personality types Identify which of the four personality types you feel best describes you. Explain why you feel you fit under the category you selected. Based on all the information you researched in parts 3 and 4, identify: Which of the 7 job postings appeals most to you and why? Which of the 7 job postings appeals least to you and why?
