I find the club management particularly interesting because of the diversity of service provided. We covered many different areas of hospitality thus far, and it is incredible that clubs dabble in almost every sector. What interests me is the ability to provide services such as golf, tennis, swimming, dining, lounges/bars, banquets, and more.

Growing up my family belonged to the Crystal Lake Country Club, and to this day I have special memories there. I was only 5 years old and during the summer I actually learned how to swim there. At 7 I was similar to Evel Knievel because I wanted to jump off of the diving boards like the big kids.

The lifeguards and staff were like family and they would wait for me to jump off of the diving board with my floaties on and catch me - I'm sure this made all the parents nervous, but there ability to treat me like family was something to remember.

Nonetheless, the diversity in the club sector is a huge interest of mine and I would consider joining the industry in the future. Philip Jalal Alishaq's Discussion: The professional club is an area that interests me the most because I want to meet the CEO and other people who have experience regarding my field of career.

The more connection I have, the better chance that I would have to find a job that I would enjoy. I have been to several events in Chicago that I had the opportunity to meet the CEO of different law firms.

I met someone that was offering students the opportunity to work with his law firm, which I did during the summer. I learned a lot just by making connections and going to events. I am also interested in sports clubs because I want to go to a club that has different things for individuals to do such as playing soccer, meeting new people, etc.

I also believe that club management is important for the other sector in hospitality because young people would be able to make connections and experience new things. Below is an example of a response that you can follow: Hi Philip, I agree the professional club sector is very interesting. The profit margins are astounding on some of the better clubs.

I also enjoy talking to CEOs and higher-ups of companies and hearing about their stories and how they reached those positions. Connections are everything in business and are a way into an industry without having to do it alone. Great discussion!
