Literature Review on Microservice Architectures, Cloud Computing, or Web-Based Information Systems

In this assessment, you are required to conduct a literature review on a selected area of microservice architectures, cloud computing or web-based information systems (WBIS).

This assessment demonstrates your understanding of the key elements and applications of microservice architectures, cloud computing or WBIS through a review of the literature related to the selected topic or field of research.

To complete this assessment task, you must:

1. Review your course notes to establish a relevant area of investigation in microservice architectures, cloud computing or WBIS. Some of the areas that you may wish to select include, but not limited to:

• Private cloud security

• Public cloud security

• Hybrid cloud security

• Cloud replication and recovery

• Journey from IaaS to SaaS

• Serverless cloud architecture

• Service-oriented architecture

• Journey from Monolith to Microservices

• Deployment architectures in cloud

• Migration from on-premises to cloud

• Applications and/or architecture of WBIS

• Emerging role of WBIS web services frameworks

2. Re-read any relevant readings that have been recommended for the course.

3. Perform additional research and investigation and ensure that you have at least 10 sources which will add value to your review of the literature pertaining to the selected area of investigation.

4. Plan how you will structure your ideas for your literature review.
