ISM 6137 Business Analytics

 

Rigorous analysis of the actual and/or potential use of business analytics and data-driven decision support systems in the Wireless Telecommunications Carriers Industry. Must develop an expository research essay on the state of data analytics in the industry based on literature. In addition to accurately depicting the status quo, your paper must clearly identify critical issues and opportunities, present a gap analysis, discuss strategic alignment, identify and assess alternatives (if applicable), and articulate recommendations. It is imperative to keep in mind that your paper must contain a non-trivial and in-depth analysis of the challenges and opportunities that a modern-day organization or industry faces as it gears up to surf the wave of big data.

 

You will write an expository research essay based on academic and non-academic literature as well as other resources that may be available to you to meet the purpose of the portfolio paper as underlined above. Please note that the expository essay must contain at least seven references. A minimum of five references must come from academic sources (e.g., journal articles, conference proceedings, etc.). I have included the Paper Requirements, Rubric, and a Sample Paper given by the teacher.
