Aims of assignment:

In fulfillment of Course Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3 (midterm exam), you should develop, through research & analysis, the ability to (In General for UAE and not a specific company):  

1. Understand the role of the pandemic for the financial management of companies
2. Analyze separate effects within the corporation.  

Scope:

Use existing literature and empirical evidence so far to assess the association between the coronavirus pandemic in financial management and firm performance

Task:

You need to develop a good understanding of the role that the coronavirus pandemic for affecting financial management and corporate activities.  For that, you will need to write a project essay that analyzes the effect, structured as follows:

2. Describe what are the characteristics of the pandemic and how it is expected to affect the economy  (2 pages)
   
   
3. Describe how the pandemic is expected to affect general financial management of companies (CLO1)  (2 pages);
   
   
4. Describe how the pandemic is expected to affect financial risk-taking of companies (CLO5) - (2 pages);
   
   
5. Describe how the pandemic is expected to affect specific corporate activity (CLO2, CLO3) as follows:  (2 pages)
   
   
6. Conclusions (1 Page)
   
   
7. Referencing: (1 page)
