Purpose of this assignment

Introduce students to the concept of engineers engineering

The Velocity V in m/s of an experimental automobile was measured at specified time t in s is given in table below. Determine the equation of straight line constructed through the points recorded. Once an equation has been determined, comment on the plot, try to fit the best path and calculate the velocities at intermediate values (compute any 3 values).

You are requested to represent a meeting of executives of an airline considering the purchase of new Dreamliner (Boeing or Airbus). The engineer is asked id he/she could give the group a quick estimate of the average cruise fuel consumption on per mile basis, the return of investment (considering passage arrival and return with full load), the altitude it can fly and profitable paths. The result should also compare the competitive aircraft as they process towards the purchase decision.
