Culture-Dependence of Ethics

Question 1: please argue with G.B. Tangwa (Morality and Culture: are ethics culture-dependent?) whether ethics is culture dependent or not. Initially, please define culture, morality and ethics.

Question 2: In the 1980s, nuclear energy was seen as a possibility of bridging the era of fossil fuels and the era of renewables. Please argue whether this is/was a good strategy using sustainability ethics as an orientation.

Question 3: A study was carried out on the response of estrogen receptor beta positive cancer patients in Portugal to the cancer drug “tamoxifen”. Later, a researcher who was involved in this study collaborated in another study that looked at the epidemiology of estrogen positive breast cancer in South Europe.

The patients involved in the first study signed an informed consent form (solely) for the first study. The second study is expected to give invaluable data towards the management of breast cancer.
