To understand communication’s important role communication plays in effective leadership and subsequent exertion of power. You are going to complete a hands on experiment in the field. You are going to test propositions proposed by Professor Cuddy and Dr Pease.

Dr Cuddy investigates how non-verbal communication influences others. Importantly she is interested in how one’s non-verbal behavior influences the self and how others react to you. At her core is her concept of power poses.

Dr Pease’s suggests where our palms are when talking with someone influences how a person/people respond to you. We want to extend his ideas and note how we respond to the other person’s response to us creating a virtuous circle.

Both are simple, effective behavior changes that you can make to improve your leadership and influencing capacity. Many may be skeptical of what is presented in the 2 videos you will watch to understand their research and then apply.

Please write that this report includes an experiment where we used the gestures cuddy and Pease talked about with people around us and we noted  how they reacted to each pose.
