Aim: In this assignment, you will use MATLAB (R2020b release or later) to design, implement, and test a communication system consisting of a channel coder, modulator, demodulator, and channel decoder. What to submit: Your coursework must be submitted as a report in Word format to Turnitin. Your MATLAB codes must be provided as text (not pictures) and included as appendices at the end of the report. All code lines must be commented to explain them. Please note that 5 marks will be allocated to the presentation and organisation of your report. 1) Design and implement in MATLAB a communication system that uses digital modulation and channel coding with an LDPC code to transmit digital images over a deep space communication link. You must clearly describe all the components of your system and motivate your design. The mission of Perseverance is to seek signs of life and collect rocks and soil samples. Describe and comment on the channel coding techniques used by Perseverance for data transmission.
