1.0 Introduction

The content of the study sheds light upon the uses of internet for deriving the information ad using it in the academic surroundings. It highlights the advantages and disadvantages of working in the internet and the resources used to build up complete information relating to the subject. The resources used along with its reliability to be genuine and relevant for using it as resources in completing any academic work (Bochantin, 2014, p. 262). The issues of using internet are also been discussed in the study with the techniques of overcoming the issues at the last section of study with referencing to online sources used in the study.

2.0 Demonstration of using online sources

As a user, there are various uses of internet to derive information that can be used as a source of information implemented in the formation of academic studies. The internet resources provide the users with the variety of information that can be gathered to extract a meaningful idea about the subject of the topic (Ctlt.ubc.ca, 2015). For example, I got a project form my college asking to prepare a presentation showing the variances of information together combined and formed to highlight the knowledge of the current affair. Therefore, extraction of the information from the sources of books and journals was difficult and therefore it was the right time to make the use of internet efficiently. I did not have the idea about the topic assigned to me, therefore I have searched and surveyed over the topic to find out some of the samples available online as the sources to be used in the study.

The project showed the variances in the field of political and social environment along with the impact of several factors influencing the practices of social activities. In order to get the information relating to the topics, using the internet was one of the most appropriate medium to derive the relevant information linking to my topic (Groote & Mousavi, 2014). The derivation of the information was conducted individually and then I combined the information extracted from different sources. As a user of internet, I communicated with my friends as well to carry out the research upon the subject of the topic assigned to me. As it was a group project, I was in touch with my friends in chat and exchanging the files with each other to bind up the information needed for the project.

As a user, I also use internet for clearing the query with my professor via email regarding the project. Therefore, online sources as been proved best, as it have enabled me to choose from the variety of information available in different websites. Therefore, it has also enabled me to reach the core of the topic and using the information in my project to enhance the quality of my project (Hawthorne, 2012, p. 26). In addition, as a user of internet the submission of the file has been done with the help of internet.

3.0 Evaluation of reliability of online sources used in academic environment

The information derived from the online resources is not fully dependable as per the requirement of the data by the users. Therefore, the nature of the data extracted must be noted down to meet the need for which the information is derived from different sources. As a user, the information extracted must be up to the mark and updated to meet the requirement of eh users using the information (Langlotz & Locher, 2012, p. 44). Therefore, the genuine information extracted where assumption is not required can be derived by using different sources along with the variety of information available online.

In the case of evaluation of the information that can be used in the academic content must be from a genuine and relevant website relating the information with the content and must be rich enough to cover the segment as per the requirement of the users. There are various sources of information present in the online but all the information are not genuine and up to the mark to be used in the preparation of the data. On the other hand, there are some websites available in the internet that provides fake information about the subject of the topic (Rackaway, 2014). Online sources can be used to extract the information and diagrams, picture, and graphs as well that can closely relate the topic with the content of the study.

In the case for the academic purposes, the source provided a large varieties of information along which the worker can choose he appropriate form of information that can be utilized to draw a relevant conclusion upon the subject of the topic.

As a user, I have understood that the uses of the sources of information for making a clear relation in the academic environment is very used (Rush & Tracy, 2010, p. 312). Therefore, it is significant to derive the information instantly and can be used in the academic progress as well. Different users require different information as per there need and therefore it covers the use of internet sources in huge quantity. Therefore, development of the information resources helped to work over the data that need to be provided to the users as per the assigned task.

4.0 Merits and Demerits of using online community and overcoming the issues arising with the use of internet

In the uses of the internet, there are several advantages of using internet and extracting information relating to the subject and therefore enhancing the quality of the research by using internet. On the other hand, it also works upon the segment of watching out the demerit in the use of internet. In the first case, the use of internet in working collaboratively in a community can be based upon the group work where several individuals comes together to work over the matter. In addition, the sources found in these cases are mostly related to the subject of the topic as well which is found in the internet (Langlotz & Locher, 2012, p. 46).
