The strategic planning group assignment will allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and applied understanding of the prescriptive planning approach. The assignment will require students to critically evaluate a business situation. Students need to present a business case for a new strategic approach in a live competitive environment that involves an understanding of sustainable business practices and leadership in global citizenship. In general, marking criteria will focus on a practical understanding of strategic and risk management concepts, global citizenship theory and the prescriptive planning approach.

Complete the Situation Audit (internal and external) by using appropriate frameworks and models provided in prescribed course readings/lecture content. Analyse the information you have independently sourced (about your selected company) and the information provided to you about the external environment (remember to only use the information provided to you for the external scan, do not source your own information). Organise your analysis according to appropriate frameworks and draw conclusions via the SWOT analysis
