Overview of Assessment:
The coursework element of module assessment consists of an individual assignment researching a range of contemporary issues in performance and reward management strategy. The assignment thus requires learners to relate academic theory, frameworks, and models to a contemporary organisational context which constitutes a valuable development opportunity for learners. The assessment is supported by formative feedback in tutorials.Â

To assess studentsâ understanding of the concepts involved in performance management and how these are applied in practice.
This assignment is broken into two parts, equally weighted.

You are required to research and analyse relevant academic literature concerning one of the topics below. You must present a comprehensive fully referenced academic research paper on this area. The use of substantial secondary research is required to achieve the optimal understanding of your research topic. In short, a comprehensive critical literature review and full assessment of the area must be evident.Â
10% flexibility in word count will be permitted, either below the minimum or above the maximum, with no penalty being incurred.
Word counts outside these limits will incur an automatic 10% penalty of the final mark, regardless of quality of content.
