To reflect on your experiences throughout the Internship, how your BA coursework has enhanced your experience and what your learnings were. 

Prepare a 3,000 (+/- 10%) word report which includes:

An Internship provides the opportunity for you to understand challenges the business faces. You will complete the Internship project. Your business manager will act as a supervisor providing necessary guidance and advice as well as ensuring the Internship is completed within the stipulated period. During your Internship gather and analyse data to address the aspects of your Internship project. These notes on your activities will assist you in preparing the written report and your presentation.

The structure of the reflective journal is personal; however, a model is provided to give a clear indication of its content. It should be a summary of actions, tasks, results, investigation, observation as well as reflection of the notes taking a self-analytical perspective. Link lecture content within your writing. Use the questions below to assist you with making quality notes: 

• What did you learn? 

• What did you learn in BA courses that you used or observed? 

• What theories, learned in the BA Programme, provided insight into what you observed? 

• What gaps, similarities or differences have you seen between your theoretical knowledge and its application? 

• How is your work going? How has your work changed? 

• What interactions did you observe/participate in? 

• What style(s) of supervision are you observing/experiencing? Is it effective? Why or why not? 

• Did anything happen that was unexpected? How was it handled? 

• What decisions were made? By you? By co-workers? By those we served? By others outside the organisation? 

• What effect did these decisions have? 

• Did you feel uncomfortable with anything you did/saw? Why? Did you feel proud of anything you did/saw? Why? 

• be submitted through Moodle through Turnitin.com by 4pm on the due date; 

• be typed and double spaced; 

• be in Word or PDF format; 

• have the word count included (excluding any references); and 

• be in the standard of English expected of a postgraduate student.
