Explore the nature and dynamics of team engagement

Your company has low productivity, high staff turnover and people are displaying signs of being mentally and physically overwhelmed, especially parents and caregivers. Independent engagement surveys were commissioned at your organisation (which employees did under duress). The results state that 30% of your workforce are engaged in their work with the rest being disengaged and a sizable percentage (20%) being actively disengaged. Several people made suggestions on how they felt they could be assisted to reengage but there was no common theme.

The survey revealed that the majority of employees did not feel recognised, valued or appreciated, despite 90% citing it was important to them. A significant portion of employees felt that they were micromanaged and did not have open communication channels that would improve their ability to do their work. Further to that, over 30% were likely to search for a job in the coming year.
