On successful completion of this assessment, the student will be able to:
1 Critically evaluate procurement and production processes as they relate to resource utilisation.
2 Analyse strategic concepts in the management of operations that guide or affect logistics and sustainability.
Purpose
AMRI700 aims to teach students methods for identifying and solving resource integration problems prevalent in industry. Students are required to work on a case study independently in order to identify, apply and evaluate resource integration concepts to a real world problem. Assessment Instructions: Please read the entire document carefully and refer to the assessment marking rubric. The case study (assessment two) and the group project (assessment three) are linked together as explained in the document below.Each student is a part of a group project (assessment three). In Table 1, industries and
organisations (within each industry) are shown for group project (assessment three) selection.Students must NOT approach or contact any of the organisations for this assessment. For case studies (assessment two), students are required to select their case study based on the criteria listed below.
1 Identify the industry other than the one selected for the group project (assessment three).
2 Find an organisation other than the ones provided in Table 1.Examples are presented below to elaborate on the viable options for selecting appropriate case study (assessment two) in regards to each industry listed in Table 1. Department of Enterprise and Digital Innovation
Example 1: Aviation Industry
If a student is a part of the group that has chosen their group project (assessment three) in aviation industry then the options remaining for the group members to do their case study(assessment two) are in the following industries.
? Manufacturing
? Food
? Retail
? Construction
? Information Technology
? Healthcare
Furthermore, the case study (assessment two) can be considered in any of the organisations except the ones presented in Table 1.
Example 2: Manufacturing Industry
If a student is a part of the group that has chosen their group project (assessment three) in the manufacturing industry then the options remaining for the group members to do their case study (assessment two) are in the following industries.
? Aviation
? Food
? Retail
? Construction
? Information Technology
? Healthcare
Furthermore, the case study (assessment two) can be considered in any of the organisations except the ones presented in Table 1.
Example 3: Food Industry
If a student is a part of the group that has chosen their group project (assessment three) in the food industry then the options remaining for the group members to do their case study (assessment two) are in the following industries.
