Conflict Situation

Due week 12 In this assignment, you are required to introduce a conflict situation that occurred within your workplace and provide a critical analysis of the situation including the conflict resolution process and the following elements:

• Brief description of the event that led or resulted in the conflict situation
• Describe your position in the institution/ward/workplace at the time of the conflict (eg. Student Nurse, RN, Charge Nurse. Nursing Unit Manager)
• Describe your role within the conflict situation (observer, initiator, recipient, support person etc)
• Discuss the measures that were applied to seek immediate resolution
• Describe the steps of the conflict resolution process  
• Analyse and discuss how the conflict resolution processes were/were not employed in this conflict situation
• Discuss the outcome/s for the patient (s) and/or staff
• Explore the change/s that took place, as a result, to eliminate the probability for a similar event to arise.
• Provide recommendations for improving the outcomes and/or preventing a similar situation from occurring again.
