3 Research Question
• (a) Discuss the problem you will be seeking to solve or the process, procedure, policy you will be seeking to improve through your research. This is the issue facing the organisation.
• (b) Discuss the reasons which have made this issue one that your organisation wants to research this semester? This is the catalyst.
• (c) Identify the main research question that you will answer. Then breakdown your main research question into a series of sub questions. Set out your research questions in bullet point format:

4 The Research Methodology (Suggested maximum 1,000 words)
(a) Introduction
This is an overview of the contents of this section of your research proposal. It is just a paragraph introducing the topics you will be discussing in this section.
(b) Secondary Data Collection
• Identify here what literature databases you will be using and briefly discuss why you have chosen these databases. Identify here the search terms you intend to use to search these databases. Discuss why you are using these terms.
• List literature you have read as part of your brief literature review and intend to read to produce a more detailed literature review later. At least six (6) useful resources should be listed
(c) Primary Data Collection
• Discuss who (for example, staff, potential customers, existing customers) and/or what (for example, production records, financial records) you are wanting to collect data from. This is your population of interest.
• Discuss how you will be selecting elements from your population of interest to collect data from.
• Discuss what method you will be using to collect data from your sample(s). Common primary data collection methods are interviews, surveys, content analysis, and so on.
