Evaluation of Analytic Tools and Services
You work for a medium sized organisation which employs approximately 200 people.
Your CEO asks you to prepare a report about the potential uses of data-analytics for your company.
Your task is to explore and provide suggestions and solutions for using business analytics techniques and tools to benefit the organisation. In your report you should cover three areas, for example:
• Marketing
• Human resource
• Manufacturing
• Competitor analysis
• Customer analysis
• (or any other area that you find useful/interesting)
For each of the three areas, you should investigate and provide at least two suggestions or solutions. For each suggestion/solution, you are required to describe and evaluate:
1. The sources of data that are used
2. The range of analyses which are provided
3. The analytical techniques/tools being used
4. The benefits that the analysis will provide
5. The way that the results are presented
Thus, your report will describe and evaluate a total of six suggestions/solutions across three areas.
Structure of Report
• Any report format and structure is acceptable, as long as it is clear and well organised.
• Remember that your document must look like as a professional piece of work. Remember that you are presenting it to the CEO of your company. Try to impress them by the quality if your work! Managers always care about the appearance and small details.
• Clarity of language, layout and general presentation is an assessable aspect of the assignment.
