Having now completed at least one session of the Beer Game, we require that you reflect back on your experience for each game (round) and articulate the learning that has taken place. For example, how has your learning experience changed you? How can you apply your new knowledge to other problems? What is its significance in the real world?
Each learning reflection is an individual effort. Please save your file with the naming convention of “Surname-ID.doxc”
These questions will help you reflect on your learning experience:
1. Now that it’s over, what are my first thoughts about the Beer Game overall? Are they mostly positive or negative?
2. If positive, what comes to mind specifically? Negative?
3. Think about the supply chain concepts or techniques you used in the Game. What worked and what didn’t? Why do you think that was so?
4. What were some of the most interesting discoveries I made during the game? About the problem? About myself? About others (e.g. teamwork)?
5. What were some of my most challenging moments and what made them so?
6. What were some of my most powerful learning moments and what made them so?
7. What are the most important things I learned personally?
