1. Blood Flow. This task asks you to demonstrate your understanding of how the heart supplies the body with blood and nutrients.

Please explain the physiological process of blood through the heart. 600 words:

• The structures of the heart and their roles in the blood flow process including the role of the chambers and the role of the valves
• All transport mechanisms
• Where blood enters and leaves the heart
• The type of blood that enters and leaves the heart
• The other physiological system involved and a description of its role in the process of blood flow and gas exchange
• Where the blood returns to the heart and what kind of blood it is after interaction with the other physiological system involved
• How it leaves the heart and what purpose it now serves the human body and its structures e.g. working muscle.

2. Fats

Define the difference between visceral and subcutaneous fat. In your submission, you must include the effect of exercise and nutrition on each type of fat. 200 words.
