There are two parts to this assessment, you must complete both parts.
Part A:
Investigate ISO and one of the other globally dominant quality management systems and outline their philosophies, principle methodologies / processes. According to Hellman et al, (2013) , these dominant systems are ISO, Six Sigma, and LEAN.
You should ignore any convergences among these systems such as LEAN Six Sigma.Be aware that ISO is an umbrella term covering different standards. The standard of interest for this assessment is ISO 9001:2015 (its New Zealand equivalent is AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 ). This standard has universal applicability.Furthermore, the ISO 9001 series provides standards that are sector or industry specific. For instance, an organisation may have AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 certification and a sector or industry specific certification as well. These sector and industry specific certifications need not be covered as the focus is on ISO 9001:2015 and its New Zealand equivalent. For instance, in addition to ISO 9001:2015 certification an organisation may have ‘ISO 13485–Medical devices’ certification if a health organisation or ‘ISO/TS 29001 Petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries’ certification if an energy organisation.
Part B
Establish a research methodology then use the methodology to survey Google to determine the number of quality management systems available from service providers with physical New Zealand street addresses and /or with New Zealand webpage addresses.Using the survey data, express a reasoned view on the most popularly offered quality management system in New Zealand and extend your view as to whether the mostly popularly offered quality management system is also the most popularly used quality management system in New Zealand. The survey data can be supplemented with any relevant bonda fide research that you discover while undertaking the survey.
