• The dominant values of the ideology, what do its proponents think are most important to achieve in society.
• How does the ideology define and/or envisage justice?
• How does the ideology envisage the relationships between the individual and broader social groups, including society as a whole?
• What does the ideology envisage as the role of the state?
• What impact has this ideology had on social policy in Aotearoa New Zealand historically and currently, including its impact on Tangata Whenua?
An essay style is required including:
• an introduction that highlights the importance of the topic and outlines the direction that your essay will follow
• a logically developed body to your essay
• a conclusion which summarise the points you have made. Ask yourself what you want to leave the reader thinking about at the end.
• The contextual factors and issues that have influenced the development of the ideology.
• The key thinkers or theoreticians involved in developing the ideology.
• The dominant values of the ideology.
• How the ideology defines and/or envisages justice.
• How the ideology envisages the relationships between the individual and broader social groups.
• What the ideology envisages as the role of the state.
• The impact of this ideology on social policy in Aotearoa New Zealand historically and currently, including its impact on Tangata Whenua.
• Selected ideology is compared and contrasted with at least 2 other ideologies.
