You are required to do research in order to justify the comments you make in this assessment and are therefore required to consult a number of sources of data. No formal primary research is required as there is not enough time to complete it. You should however consult reputable secondary sources of information where needed and provide accurate APA referencing where necessary.
Also, you are going to be assessed on:
? How you researched your idea.
? How you have established that the idea has merit.
? How clearly you describe aspects of the idea.
? The sources of information you used.
? How you analysed material collected, so it could easily be used in Assessment Three.
Formatting
? Use Arial/Calibri or similar clear font – size 11-12. Headings should be in larger font,bold and distinct.
? Single spacing in paragraphs and clear space between each heading/section.
? Justify your margins so that it is neat and tidy.
Guidelines – extra information
? The assessment in this course may be completed individually or in pairs.
? If you elect to form a pair, then the following rules will apply.
i) You are to stay in the same pair for all the assessments in this module Movement into or out of a pair will only be allowed before the end of the second week of the course NOTWITHSTANDING this, the Course Examiner reserves the right to dissolve a pair at any time in the course.
ii) It is reasonable to assume that each member of the pair will complete their tasks and duties assigned to them punctually and to a good standard.‘Communication’ is emphasised. If there is a problem – communicate. If things are going well - communicate. It is recommended that members of the pair share contact details such as email addresses and cell phone numbers.
iii) If a member of a pair does not complete tasks and duties assigned to them punctually and to a good standard, the Course Examiner must be advised. The Course Examiner reserves the right to adjust a team member’s mark for assessments based on the feedback from the pair.
iv) You are advised to keep minutes of your meetings that relate to assessment 2. The minutes should include: the date; key issues discussed and any allocation of tasks to be completed (i.e. action plan).
v) Each pair is required to fill out and submit Report Cards with their Assessment 2 submission. See page 6 for the form of the Report Card. Both members must sign an individual Report Card.
? Look at the Marking Guide on page 4 and 5, it guides you on the requirements. Tick off each section as you complete it.
? When handing in, attach a signed Cover Sheet. Note, the Cover Sheet is not the title page.
? The front page of the Assessment and the References page are not part of the word count.
? Material collected which appears in any appendices is not considered part of the word count.
