Please check and sign this as soon as possible. What we expect from students The important point to remember about your research project is that it is your project and you have responsibility for it. Your supervisor is here to offer advice and guidance to help you effectively manage the process. However, it is your project and your opportunity to demonstrate your ability to manage independently a substantial piece of research in your chosen subject.
Maintain responsibility at all times for the quality and timeliness of work on the project. It is your responsibility, not the Supervisor’s, to have work submitted and approved on time Regularly enter the Research Project classroom and communicate regularly (at least once a month) with your Supervisor. Work to complete the elements of your project according to the key milestones indicated in your classroom (ensuring you let your Supervisor know if there are any problems in meeting these milestones) ?
Keep your Supervisor informed of all matters relevant to progress, including planned absences Send sections of work for review by your Supervisor during the project (as specified in the key milestones indicated in your classroom). There will be one opportunity for feedback for each section, providing you meet the deadlines.
Submit one full draft of the whole project a month before the final deadline. Feedback on multiple versions of the full document will not be given ?
Submit the completed project into the classroom for grading (to the Final submissions Turnitin Link provided), after revising according to your supervisor’s comments on the full draft ? Ensure that all communication takes place in your student group created for you in the Research Project classroom. Do not communicate with your Supervisor using UoR Gmail about your Research Project.
For the purpose of transparency and quality assurance, all communications between you and your Supervisor regarding your
Research Project needs to take place in your student group. Any communication outside of the classroom will not be part of the official documentation trail for your Research Project. What you can expect from your supervisor

Provide academic support to enable you to complete your project on or prior to the specified deadlines, however they will provide feedback only once for each section (provided it is received on time) ?
Respond to your postings within 4 days for ordinary communications and 10 days for reading and responding to sections and your final draft ? Inform you promptly if, for any reason, these response times will not be met on certain occasions (such as during holidays) ?
Provide feedback on matters of critical analysis, research framework, methodology, and other relevant research matters. However, it is not the responsibility of the supervisor to undertake grammar and spell checks, or provide feedback on formatting and other related cosmetic matters. Student - Supervisor agreement.pdf
