Logistics Challenges and Solutions in Singapore

- Identify the logistics challenges and provide the solution When the question state ‘to the location where you are currently studying this unit’, it is referring to Singapore.

What are the characteristics of cheese or pears? Challenge of storage like warehouse? What are the transport requirements? What are the packaging requirements for the product? Nature and characteristics of the product?

    - Point of origin and point of destination (Must be Singapore depending on question). 
Is there certain regulation, special regulation or permits required, requirement for the product from Point of Origin and Point of Destination?

    - Identify the logistics challenges and provide the solution Challenges that are right but too generic. For example, like due to long distance or a lot of documents are required for international shipping.- Writing too many challenges like for example 10 different challenges. 

This will result in students writing only on the surface of the issue instead of going in depth. Reason being that too many challenges will result in lesser words count regarding the particular issue. The lecturer recommend that students focus only on 4 different challenges so we can write a more in depth discussion on the challenges and provide solutions + recommendation. 

Assignment Organisation Format

Section 1 – Introduction
Section 2 – Issue 1 and Recommendations (E.g. Packaging, what are the challenges, what are to          
                     recommendations to improve the packaging?
Section 3 – Issue 2 and Recommendations (E.g. Warehouse Storage)
Section 4 – Issue 3 and Recommendations (E.g. Transport)
Section 5 – Issue 4 and Recommendations (E.g. Nature Characteristics of the products)
Section 6 – Conclusion

 

Number of Words on each individual Issues should be balanced at about 450 words. Do not fluctuate the word count, e.g., Issue 1 have only 200 words but Issue 2 have surged to 650 words. How many references?  3 – 4 References on each issue ** Please use majority of references from websites as lecturer will be suspicious if my references are majority from books. If we need to cite from books, try keep the number to only 2 to 3 references from book only for this essay.
