Research Background and Business Problem

Question 1This is an application project that is fairly open-ended and there is no fixed answer. You are to select one dataset from the five possible datasets provided in the Appendix. Identify a potential business problem, and solve it using association rule mining and (or) data clustering techniques. Write a report to show your study and findings. It is up to you to choose the dataset and business problem that is interesting and possible to analyze in a meaningful manner. Your report should include (but not limited to) the following key points(a)Describe the research background of your project, identify a business problem and discuss why it is interesting or important. (b)Evaluate the potential usefulness of association rule mining and (or) clustering techniques to solve the proposed problem.(c)Describe the data characteristics (including record size, data measurement types, data quality issues, etc.); apply data preparation (examples include treating missing values, data transformation, excluding specific fields such as text reviews, etc.) so that the data can be analysed using the identified data mining method. (Note: in addition to the IBM SPSS Modeler, other tools and software are also permitted for data preparation.)d)Construct an association rule mining model and (or) implement a clustering solution in the IBM SPSS Modeler; provide the following details. •The data mining method used •Report your design decisions by explain the parameter settings used•Interpret the generated rules and (or) verify the generated clusters•Evaluate the results (if any)(e)Discuss how the association and (or) clustering results address the identified business problem. Propose at least two (2) deployment suggestions that could help address the business problem.(f)Provide a screenshot of your IBM SPSS Modeler streams with proper annotations and any other support material (if any)
